Portland Junk Removal Questions
The things Portland callers ask us most often.
Yes. Junk Heroes is based in Vancouver, WA, just north of the Columbia, and Portland is a regular part of our route. Crossing the I-5 or I-205 bridge does not change what you pay. We also serve Camas, Washougal, and Salmon Creek on the Washington side of the river.
By the space your items take up in the truck, not by the hour. We look at the load, give you an upfront price before we start, and that is the number you pay.
No asbestos, oil, paint or household hazardous materials. Portland-area residents can contact Metro about household hazardous waste disposal.
Sometimes. Same-day pickup depends on how the day is already booked. Call early, Monday to Saturday between 7am and 7pm, and we will tell you straight away.
No. We take items from wherever they are sitting: upstairs, basement, back yard, garage or storage unit. Stairs and narrow Portland driveways are part of the job.
We sort the load. Usable items are donated and recyclable material is recycled where possible, and the rest goes to disposal.
Yes. Estate, rental turnover, eviction and foreclosure cleanouts are routine work for us, whether it is one room or an entire Portland house.
